The Who, When, Where and Why's on Lawn Fertilization

Who?
If you are looking to get your lawn at its best, consider joining a company’s fertilizer program. Joining a fertilizer program is going to get you on track to having a healthy lawn. There are a few different things that need to be considered. When you are looking to join a program, be sure whomever you hire customizes the program specifically for your lawns needs. It is important that the company you hire stays in communication with you and keeps you up to date on when treatments are being done. Collect different estimates in order to find a program that best fits your budget. If you do pick a company and then later decide to switch, just be sure to have the new company take over where the old one left off.
When?
Be sure to get into the program at the start of the season (usually starts in March) to ensure that you are getting all the treatments needed for your lawn. Fertilizer programs usually run all year long.
Where?
Your lawn.
Why?
Fertilizing your lawn is important because your lawn needs to be taken care of in order to keep it healthy. It is not going to do it on its own. Whether your lawn has weeds, fungicides, bare spots, etc. or you want to maintain the lawn you already have, there are fertilizers that can help in each of these areas. Also, overtime the soil is naturally going to lose nutrients so using a fertilizer is going to help put nutrients back into the soil and it is also going to help strengthen the roots for healthier and stronger growth.
