Composite or Treated Wood Decks
In addition to our decades of experience in landscaping, we can design and build a deck using your choice of materials. Options include composite materials or treated wood. Each has its pros and cons, so we will consult with you to find out what will best suit your needs.
Exterior wood is chemically protected through a process called pressure-treating, which wards off insects, microorganisms, and fungal decay. The most common types of chemicals used to treat wood are Alkaline Copper Quaternary (ACQ), Copper Azole (CA), and, the newest type, Micronized Copper Quaternary (MCQ). Pressure-treated lumber can last 20 years or more, and most pressure-treated wood comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
Hardscapes
As an alternative to traditional landscaping, Scott's Exterior Maintenance offers low-maintenance hardscapes to transform your outdoor living space. As a complement to, and in conjunction with, your new deck, we can also design and install patios and sidewalks using stone blocks, decorative pavers, or poured concrete.
Depending on your site, we can also incorporate retaining walls into your design for a fluid and functional landscape that works for your needs and looks good too!
We can also rejuvenate your old deck by cleaning, replacing, or adding new boards.
