In addition to our decades of experience in landscaping, we can design and build a deck using your choice of materials. Options include Trex® composite materials or treated wood. Each type has its pros and cons, so we will consult with you to find out what will best suit your needs and budget.
Trex® Warranty Information
Trex Deck & Railing residential warranties range from 25 to 50 years, depending on the choice of materials. When you choose Scott's, you are choosing a TrexPro® Gold Installer, which allows your investment to be protected not only by a fantastic materials warranty, but a labor warranty of 8 years as well.
Trex® Options
Trex® offers a multitude of different options to choose from. Here is just a small sampling:
- A multitude of colors to choose from
- Railing options including metal, composite, mesh & glass
- Deck lighting, including cap, stair rise, and recessed lights
- Pergolas
- Rain Escape® system, which allows for the creation of an outdoor living space below the deck.
Treated Wood Decks
Exterior wood is chemically protected through a process called pressure-treating, which wards off insects, microorganisms, and fungal decay. The most common types of chemicals used to treat wood are Alkaline Copper Quaternary (ACQ), Copper Azole (CA), and the newest type, Micronized Copper Quaternary (MCQ). Pressure-treated lumber can last 15 years or more, and most pressure-treated wood comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
We can also rejuvenate your old deck by cleaning, replacing, or adding new boards.
